Adjustments

Last night was very difficult for all of us. Not only does Andy have to adjust to a new time zone (Korea is 14 hours ahead), but he has new parents, foods, sounds, smells, etc... And he has lost a wonderful foster family. Last night he cried for about 4 hours. There was nothing Coby or I could do for him to make him feel better. So we just lay on the floor with him scooting between the two of us. He didn't want us to hold him, but he got even more upset when we left him. It was so sad to see him so upset. We think he is grieving for his foster family. He slept with his foster mother, and now he sleeps by himself. Prior to this, he was doing well in the crib for naps, crying for less than 3 minutes before he went to sleep. We know this change will be slow, and I hope he can be as happy at night as he is during the day.

He loves food! He smiles and gets very excited to get into his highchair. And he will eat anything, no pickiness. He also loves the bath, splashing around and crying when we try to take him out.

We are still learning about each other, but overall, I think the past two days have gone well.
